Easy Homemade Oat & White Chocolate Bars

This bars are now a weekly non- negotiable in our house. Indulge your sweet cravings with these easy-to-make and irresistibly homemade oat bars! This recipe is an ideal treat when you need a quick pick-me-up. 😋

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of steel oats
  • 1 cup of desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup of chopped dates (or use cashews) 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 1 cup of honey or maple syrup 
  • 1 cup of peanut butter or almond butter 
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A chocolate bar of your choice 

Instructions:

  1. Combine your dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Melt all the wet ingredients in the microwave until they form a smooth mixture (I recommend melting the peanut butter!) 
  3. Mix the wet and dry ingredients thoroughly, then transfer the mixture to a baking tray.
  4. Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until the bars acquire a delightful golden colour.
  5. Allow the bars to cool completely before melting a bar of your favourite chocolate over the top of the bars. 
  6. Let the chocolate harden before cutting them into 12-14 portions.
