A Morning of Movement, Magic & Community at Cushendun

What a truly special morning it was. On Saturday 11th October, the doors of the beautiful and historic Cushendun Old Church opened up not just as a venue, but as a space of connection, celebration, and movement for our Pink Pilates Morning.

From the moment participants arrived, you could feel the energy: soft autumn light spilling through the stained-glass windows, gentle chatter and laughter, and a shared sense of purpose. We were there not just for one class but two back-to-back Pilates sessions — and then a truly incredible breakfast spread — all designed to bring people together, to move with intention, and to honour community, strength, and inclusivity.

The purpose of this morning was to raise money for Pretty n Pink, a Breast Cancer Charity based in Belfast. The reason I chose this charity was because of my beautiful client Marion. Marion has been with me for just 1 year now, on her recovery journey from her own breast cancer diagnosis. She mentioned that Pretty n Pink had been a fantastic support; so who was I to argue. Leanne and the team were so helpful as I pulled everything together for the event.

After each Pilates session, we shared a beautiful breakfast together. This was kindly sponsored by my dear friend Daniel, also know as The Irish Yank. This allowed my mum to bake the most incredible breads (coconut bread, pear and apple loaves, homemade wheatens and more) Alongside Daniel, we had beautiful breakfast pots from Freshly Prep'd which went down a storm with my girls. Loada Balls came through with amazing protein balls (you must check them out) and of course, the one and only Neighbourhood Cafe. Oisin, your kindness is unreal. I am forever grateful to know you and your family. We had sponsorship from BLK BOX, Battle Cancer, NOCCO & Barebell for the goodie bags too which just topped the morning off. I feel so blessed that these brands got behind my vision to bring this event to life.
